WordPress 4.5- The first major WordPress release of 2016

Last week, WordPress released the greatly awaited WordPress 4.5, named after the American jazz legend, Coleman Hawkins. The updates focus on streamlining the workflow of content writing but also website building.

The highlights of this release are:

➢ Inline link editing and formatting shortcuts

➢ Live responsive previews and Selective Refresh

➢ Support for Theme Logo

➢ Image resizing

➢ Improved Script Loader

➢ Better embed templates

Contributor Weekend: Global WordPress Translation Day

On Sunday, April 24th, at 0:00 UTC, Global WordPress Translation Day will take place. This one-day contributor initiative is organised by the WordPress project’s Polyglots team and will run for 24 hours, covering all time zones.  The Polyglots team  will focus on helping new contributors who are interested in translating WordPress in one of the 160 languages WordPress is available in.

There will be a live training, contributors will gather in groups, in different locations, working face to face and the current translation teams will help their potential contributors or work with their translation teams in order to translate as many strings possible.

CaptainForm attending WordCamp Bratislava 2016

On April 23rd to 24th, 2016, FIIT STU Bratislava will be hosting the 5th edition of the WordCamp conference and we’re excited to let you know that we will be attending. Our Product Owner, Alexandra Draghici, will be conducting a presentation about our WordPress plugin for building forms. She will discuss breaking into a crowded market niche: competitor analysis, user analysis, image, pricing and more.
