The WordCamp Events to follow in September 2018

School bells are ringing, autumn is knocking our door and you can see the joy on children’s faces.
But what if school is a thing of the past and we crave knowledge? What if you want to improve your IT skills in an informal way?
Well, if WordPress is something that you are passionate about, there are a lot of upcoming events, September being one of the busiest months of the year.
Here is a summary of some WordCamp events that take place in September:

September 15–16, 2018
WordCamp Valencia, Spain VALENCIA, SPAIN
The event will be held at the Bancaja Cultural Center and the contributor day will be held at the coworking Wayco Ideas de Ruzafa.
There are so many reasons to visit Spain in September. You can have a mini-vacation while attending the WordCamp event and weather will definitely be on your side.
One of the speakers for this event will be Ana Cirujano.
Ana is a visual and interaction designer specialized in web projects with WordPress.
For ten years, she has been dedicated to graphic design at the University-Business Foundation, specializing in editorial design and employer branding.
Currently, he is an active part of the WordPress Community, leading the WordPress Spain Design team, giving courses, talks and presentations on Responsive Typography and WordPress. She is co-organizer of the Collado Villalba WordPress Meetup and attends WordCamps throughout Spain.

Fernando Serer – CEO of Blogestudio, SL Network of specialized online media and offering advanced WordPress services since 2005.

WordCamp Würzburg WÜRZBURG, GERMANY
September 22, 2018
The WordCamp Würzburg will take place on September 22, 2018 at the University of Würzburg.
The event officially starts on Friday, 21.9. with Contributors Day. Thursday 20.9, the participants have the opportunity to participate in the hackathon. The actual WordCamp starts on Saturday, 22.9.
The plugin collective is a group of volunteer developers who care about the maintenance and development of popular plugins like Antispam Bee, Statify, Cachify and many more. So right before the WordCamp, the plugin collective organizes for the first time an open hackathon under the title “Collective Works”.
The event is not only intended as a meeting for the members of the collective, but also explicitly for those who would like to work on one of the plugins themselves. Similar to a Contributor Day, programming is not the only discipline in this hackathon, and support is also sought in areas such as marketing, documentation and design.
Tickets started selling at the end of July, so make sure that you purchase yours if you want to attend this event.
The organisers are preparing a party Friday evening, where all participants are invited to have fun and socialize.
Though WordCamp Wuerzburg is mainly addressed to the german community, everyone is welcomed to join.

WordCamp Lausanne LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND
September 28–29, 2018
After Zurich in 2014 and 2015, Geneva in 2016, and Bern in 2017, Lausanne will host the 5th WordCamp in Switzerland on 28 and 29 September 2018.
It will be a bilingual English-French event. And the Contributor Day will be held on Friday 28th September. Contributor to the open source project.
The conference day will be held on Saturday , September 29 , this event will be bilingual French-English. And the day of the contributors will be Friday, September 28th and is a great way to learn how to contribute to the open source WordPress project.

András Guseo – ndrás has built his first website in 1997 learning HTML in 3 days. Ten years later, while starting his web design business he discovered WordPress and never looked back. He is also a proud member of the support team at Modern Tribe – the team behind the plugin The Events Calendar and co. – and loves to help people solve their issues.
Emilie Lebrun – Workaholic and entrepreneur at heart, Emilie LEBRUN is the founding director of the web agency Whodunit created in 2009. Convinced of the potential of the CMS, she embarked on the 2010 WordPress adventure, working daily with advertisers (RUE DU COMMERCE , TELE Z, Pierre & Vacances, NBC Universal, MGC, Monitor Group, Gan, Groupama).In parallel, she is COO within WP Media, the startup well known for its WP Rocket plugin. Spokesperson at WordCamp Paris, Nantes and Lyon, co-organizer of WordCamp Paris and Europe and editor of the blog GeekPress, she accompanies companies every day in the discovery of WordPress and its ecosystem.
Jeremy Matter – Passionate about the web since 2003, Jeremy is always looking for new knowledge, whether visual or technical. He puts his skills in the areas of website development and eCommerce acquired over the years to serve the project.
