Whether you’re creating a WordPress contact form, a WordPress form for event registration or a WordPress order form to sell products or services, details like keeping the form short, purposeful and non-intrusive, adding multiple-choice if necessary and many others, have a great impact on your visitors’ or customers’ decision to click the submit button. Adding a Google map to the form is one of the small tweaks with big impact, so let’s have a look at the cases when doing that can really give your form “the wow factor”.
WordPress Contact Forms
If you own a coffee shop and you want your website visitors or customers to know where to find you, you want clients to make an appointment right through your contact form or you simply want anyone who visits your website to be able to easily find your offices, a Google map is not only a nice touch but a must have.
WordPress Event Registration Forms
When organizing an event, you want your guests to easily and quickly find the exact place of your event. This is where the Google interactive map comes in again. Add a Google map field on the form with a simple drag-and-drop from the Editor/ Advanced fields and let your guests navigate through.
WordPress Order Forms
We’ve recently added a new functionality to the Google Map field, so now the Address field can be GEO coded.
What exactly does that mean? When a form respondent will pin-point a location on the map, the location details in the Address field will be pre-populated. Talk about a time saver!
Steps you need to take to enable the feature and jazz up the purchasing process:
Add the Google Map field on the form → Then, in the Editor Panel, under the Field Name, you’ll see a checkbox entitled ” Match with Address Field “. Once ticked, it will open a drop-down that will display all Address fields from the form.
A searchable box will also become available, suggesting locations as users start typing in an Address.
Isn’t that convenient? In just minutes you can make ordering easy and boost sales.
We love feedback and we would love to see examples of how you use this feature on your WordPress forms. So please share in the comments and don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly support team at support@captainform.com if you ever have questions or you need assistance.
