If you’ve been keeping up with the latest WordPress updates, then you surely know that WordPress 4.6 , named “Pepper” in honor of jazz baritone saxophonist Park Frederick “Pepper” Adams III is now available.
Released last week, the new version of WordPress brings cool new improvements such as:
Streamlined Updates→ Time to say goodbye to the progress updates! Now you’ll be able to update, install, and delete your plugins and themes while staying on the same page, actions performed via AJAX.
Native Fonts→ No more Open Sans! WordPress will now use your native system fonts, boosting performance and “letting you feel more at home”, irrespective of the device you’ll be using.
Automatic link checker→ WordPress 4.6 will automatically detect broken links while you type them. Lead developer Andrew Ozz called it “spellcheck for URLs.”
Improved Content Recovery→ Content will now be saved to the browser, making it easier to be recovered.
Various other updates are available, including including “Translations on Demand” ( WordPress will use the most recent language packs for themes and plugins when available) and refined APIs for Multisite.
Be sure to check out all of the good stuff the new WordPress version 4.6 has to offer: Codex Version 4.6.
