Recently we wrote an article about event planning and we also gave you a tip for a great event management. Yes, we’re talking about event registration forms. But if you are an event planner, there’s another type of form you’re certainly familiar with: a booking form. Booking forms are an amazing tool not only for event planners but also for a lot of other businesses from travel agencies to restaurant owners. You can use a booking form for various different needs. Venue booking, flight booking, hotel booking, table booking, are just a few examples.
Good news! With CaptainForm, you can create all of them. After selecting the Booking Form template from the Other Form box, depending on your specific needs, you can start playing by adding more fields or deleting the existing fields from the default template. This is just an example of how a booking form can look like:
Brand personality
Let your brand personality shine through! As you can see in our example, you can jazz up your form by adding your company logo, playing with colors and fonts. Customize everything to fit your website design or your brand guidelines. Choose a combination of colors that makes the questions stand out. You can also spice up your design by using custom CSS.
Keep it simple!
You should keep this in mind not only when it comes to booking forms, but any type of forms. Ask for relevant information and if you want to only show some of the fields and reveal additional details based on your customer’s previous answers, use field rules. You can even show images of their selection to make your booking form catchy and fun.
The submit button
The Submit button shouldn’t just match the design of the form. It should also offer more information about what will happen next. Be clear about what action the form is asking from your customer. For example, you can replace “submit” with “book an event”. Create specific action-oriented button text but don’t overdo it! You shouldn’t use more than five words.
Find out how to personally check each submitted form, how to make your booking form collect fees, customize the “Thank you” page or redirect the respondents to a web page with special promotions, from this quick guide.
We hope you found these tips useful. Got questions? Thoughts? We’d love to hear them!
